Jessica Gramuglia is a dynamic force in the entertainment industry with over 15 years of diverse experience, primarily centered around her deep-rooted passion for music. A first-generation American hailing from Calabria, Italy, Jessica currently resides in the scenic Hudson Valley of New York.
Jessica kickstarted her academic journey with an Associate of Science in Communications and Media Studies from SUNY Dutchess. There, she not only honed her skills in video editing and audio production but also showcased her leadership as the co-chair of the Documentary Committee. Later, she returned to obtain her Paralegal certificate with a focus in Intellectual Property, further expanding her skillset.
Her commitment to music led her to Northeastern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry where she embarked on an impressive career journey. She worked for renowned labels like Glassnote Records playing a pivotal role in the A&R team for Mumford and Sons. She orchestrated a groundbreaking guerrilla marketing campaign for Phoenix's debut album, "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix." During her time at Whitesmith Entertainment, Jessica showcased her artist management prowess, handling notable artists such as Brendan Benson, Amanda Palmer, Family of the Year, Sydney Wayser, and many others. In addition to her role in artist management, she also immersed herself in Bookings & Concert Marketing for the historic Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, NY. This iconic venue, celebrated in songs and stories, gave Jessica a unique opportunity to contribute to its rich legacy. Further expanding her multifaceted role in the music industry, Jessica ventured into A&R and Publicity with Koffeehouse Music Productions, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to supporting artists and their creative endeavors. She worked at the Harry Fox Agency in the mechanical and digital licensing space, gaining valuable experience and insights into music rights and royalties.
Currently, Jessica serves as the visionary leader of the award-winning Music team at Condé Nast. With her entrepreneurial spirit, she single-handedly established and oversees the company's first music department. Jessica's influence spans across Condé Nast's prestigious brands, including Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Pitchfork, and more. She orchestrates a wide array of music-related initiatives, from editorial and branded content to podcasts, live-stream events, and international projects. Some of her notable contributions include Vogue World, The Met Gala, Pitchfork Music Festival, The New Yorker Festival, Teen Vogue Summit, Glamour’s Women of the Year, GQ’s Men of the Year, Them’s Out Now Live, and Teen Vogue's Virtual Prom.
In 2013, Jessica founded Gramuglia Music & Media LLC, formerly known as Awkwardly Naked. She offers specialized music supervision, administrative, and consulting services through her boutique company, catering to a diverse clientele. She’s worked on films such as Halfway, I Like It Here, Away from the Ribbon, Nightcap, and Zero Stars as well as brands such as Billie, Wisefool, Book of the Month, and Amazon Fashion in addition to podcasts like Telephone Stories and Whistle in the Dark. She’s also handled Publicity for The Endless Summer Art Book & Launch Event, Laikipia, Jessie Standafer, Jessie Ruben, Keelan Donovan, and many others.
A proud member of the Recording Academy, Guild of Music Supervisors, and Women in Media, Jessica actively engages with industry peers and contributes to the advancement of music and media through volunteer opportunities like mentorship programs and the GMS DEI Committee. Her multifaceted career also includes notable stints at Warner/Chappell Music, Inc., where she contributed to Beyoncé's self-titled album and Katy Perry's "Prism." She was also the Creative Coordinator at Warner Bros. Television working on shows such as "Big Bang Theory," "Fuller House," "The Middle," and "Rizzoli & Isles.” While being the Music Consultant at Freeform/ABC Family, she worked on shows such as "Baby Daddy," "The Letter," "Monica the Medium," "Young & Hungry," and more. She was part of their sonic re-brand which launched the new series Shadowhunters at the ‘Freeform Launch Event’ while overseeing music for shortform content and events such as Pop Up Santa. Additionally, Jessica achieved her dream job working at World Surf League (Men & Women’s Championship League Tour, Big Wave Tour, and events at the Surf Ranch/Kelly Slater Wave Co.), where she co-chaired their first global Sustainability Committee.
Beyond her expertise in music, Jessica has garnered extensive experience in publicity, working with prominent companies like KT Communications (Titan Entertainment, Titan Books, Titan Comics Hard Case Crime, and 9 Comic Con events), E2W Collective (Sophie Tweed-Simmons, Tommy Dorfman, Mayam Bialik, Sammi Sanchez, Hunter McGrady, Jessica Pimentel, Stephanie Rice, etc.), and The Burgett Group (Beverly Hills Film Festival, Chef Alina Z, Dianne Collins, etc.),. Her versatile skill set also extends to marketing and event management.
